Short Term VS Long Term Bin Rental - 3 Ways to Maximize the Value of Your Investment
Posted in Bin Rental, on June 15, 2020
One of the most efficient and easiest ways to augment your next DIY project, spring cleaning, or home renovation project is to get a construction bin rental from BinWorks. We make disposing of debris from construction or landscaping quick and painless so that you can move onto the next stage of your project. Before your disposal bin rental, it’s important to understand the scope of your project to estimate whether a short or long term rental works for you - and maximize your rental value.
Three Tips to Maximize the Value of Your Construction Bin Rental
At BinWorks, we suggest that you consider these three tips for maximizing the value of your dumpster rental.
1. How long is the average rental period?
Most construction bin rental services, including BinWorks, rent for approximately 7 days, with additional charges per extra day. At BinWorks, these full seven days are considered long term - short term bin rentals are generally in the 3 day range. Most of us don’t throw out that much stuff in a month, let alone seven days, so we find 7 days to be adequate for the vast majority of our customers. If you need more time, just let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs.
2. Time your pick up date
Do you want to know a secret? Most construction bin rental companies don’t operate on weekends or holidays, so renting your dumpster late in the week or timing it to coincide with a stat holiday can give you an extra day or two on your rental. This can turn a 7 day rental into as many as 9 or 10 days.
3. Choose the right size for your needs
Bigger is not always better in the dumpster world, but neither is underestimating your needs. All of our construction bins have a safe fill line, and we won’t be able to accept anything piled higher than this - which could potentially leave you with the need to hire another dumpster. In addition, there are dumpsters with shorter sides (ideal for disposing of items like concrete, bricks, or sand), dumpsters with doors that open, and other configurations that may suit your project - just ask us for help when determining your bin size and we can offer our expert opinion.
